Arts Council

In March of 1999, the Arts Council entered into a formal agreement with the City of Wichita to serve as the designated focal point for the implementation of the City's cultural arts plan. The Arts Council works to strengthen art venues and promote cultural arts within the community.

Percent for Art and Public Art Registry

In 2019, the Wichita City Council approved an ordinance that allots 2% of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project funds to provide for the funding, selection, creation, and maintenance of public art. The Division of Arts and Cultural Services is establishing the Public Artist Registry as a necessary corollary for the Percent for Art Program.
