| Upgrading Is Easy and FREE! |
We are developing for latest Web browsers for several reasons. One reason is that older browsers (such as Internet Explorer 3.0 and less, Netscape Navigator 2.0 or less, etc.) may have Y2K issues and a number of known security loopholes. Another reason is that we wanted to provide you with the most extensive access to City information possible, which was possible in some cases only by using features found in latest browsers.
-
Internet Explorer
The most current Internet Explorer is 6.0 as of June 7, 2005.
If you have IE 4.0 or above, you can open IE and find an update command either under the HELP menu or under the TOOLS menu. You will be directed to the update site by clicking on the Update command, and the update or upgrade can be automatically performed with you having the full control of what update/upgrade to have.
If you use Windows 98, you can also find an Windows Update command from the START menu right at the lower left corner of your computer screen. If you click on this command when you have Internet access, you will automatically be directed to Microsoft's software update site, and the next step is no more than following the screen instructions.
-
Netscape Navigator
The most current Netscape Navigator is 8.0 as of June 7, 2005.
You can update or upgrade Navigator by choosing the Update command from Netscape Navigator's top menu. If you have access to the Internet, the Update command will direct you to Netscape's update site, with the next step no more than following up the instructions on screen.

For work purposes, you can always contact IT/IS's Help Desk for necessary assistance.
Note: If your system is not capable of upgrading, please let us know by using the feedback page and directing your comments to the Webmaster. If enough demand exists then we will develop another site specifically for older browsers.
