If your application for a license is denied for any reason, a notice of denial will be mailed to you. You must request a refund of the fees paid within 3 working days of receiving the notice of denial to have your monies refunded to you.

Farmer's Market

A Farmer's Market is an outdoor place or market area with a formalized location where more than one Kansas farmer or grower gathers to sell agricultural products they have grown or raised. Other activities and other sellers may be accommodated at the market, but the sale of agricultural products shall be the focal point of the market activity.

Other products that may be sold would typically include:

Dried flowers, plants and nursery products
Crafts and handicrafts that are made in the home
Original artwork
Certain prepared foods such as baked goods, preserves, pickles and cheese (as approved by the City of Wichita Environmental Services Department)

Fireworks Display

A person engaged in the display of fireworks, the use of pyrotechnic special effects material, or an indoor pyrotechnic display in the City of Wichita.

Food Establishment

Food Establishment means any establishment or section thereof where food or food products are offered to the consumer and intended for off-premises consumption and operated for seven or more days during a calendar year. The term includes delicatessens that offer prepared food in bulk quantities only and areas of food service establishments operated as “grocery” or “convenience grocery” stores.

Funeral Escort Service

Any person or entity hired to direct and/or control traffic for a funeral procession while escorting the procession through the streets and highways of the city.
