Whether you are planning a wedding, birthday party, reunion or community-wide public event, consider using one of Wichita's beautiful City parks!!!
With over 4,500 acres of parkland to choose from, a variety of locations are available. Some areas have seating, electrical outlets, restrooms and other amenities including pools, playground equipment, and interactive water fountains. So many areas would make for a beautiful backdrop to a wedding!
Event setup is negotiable; however, admission may not be charged to any event held on park property. For more information, including how to apply, fees, and rules and regulations, please see the attached links or call Park and Recreation at (316) 337-9225 for Sonja or (316) 268-4361 for Colleen.
Reservations must be made 7 days prior to the rental to allow adequate time to secure staff for your event.
To make a reservation or rental, we will need:
- Name
- Address
- Home phone number (and alternate daytime number, if different)
- Place, date, and time of rental
To make a reservation over the phone, payment can be made by Visa or MasterCard. In person, you can make a reservation at any Recreation Center or at City Hall, 11th floor, with cash or check. Payment in full is required to make any reservation.
To make a reservation for a Special Event, Portable Stage or Bleacher rental, call Sonya at 337-9225 or in person 1245 South McLean, Park Maintenance.
