To serve as an active center for all the arts and cultural aspects of the City of Wichita, providing educational classes and information, exhibition opportunities for local and regional artists.

• To provide community, special event management, and cultural opportunities for all citizens.
• To advise the City Council and City Manager on arts and cultural matters within the City.
• To advise the Wichita City Council and City Manager on matters related to the aesthetic excellence of Wichita’s built environment.
• To work collaboratively with Go Wichita Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to provide opportunities for economic development by the coordination of convention, consumer/trade shows and performing arts.
