Mission

Protecting People...Preserving the Environment

The Office of Environmental Health employees accomplish this mission, daily, by providing services, programs, and projects that focus on Environmental Monitoring, Code Enforcement, and Public Education.

Occasionally Wichita experiences some Air Quality issues. Strong Kansas winds blow pollution into our area, citizens' individual habits and daily activities combine to cause the issue. View the Environmental Tips Video to view some excellent Environmental Tips given by Wichita's Honorable Mayor and fellow Council Members.
