Food Handler Classes are held on the first and third Saturday of each month at 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM, and on the first and third Monday of each month at 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM. In the event that a holiday falls on a regularly scheduled class day, the class will be moved to that day in the following week. This will NOT change the other regularly scheduled class. The classes are approximately 2 hours in length, and students will receive a Food Handler Card at the conclusion of the class.
Students need only attend one session, and there is no pre-registration taken for classes. There is no fee for taking the class. Spanish-speaking classes are held the first Tuesday of every month. Please call for dates and times, or download the schedules below. A two-week notice is needed in order to provide an interpreter for American Sign Language.
Classes are held in the auditorium at the City of Wichita Department of Environmental Services, 1900 East 9th Street North, Wichita, KS 67214. Parking is available in the lot east of our building, and you can access the auditorium via the east entry door by the flagpole. Please do not bring children under the age of 6.
On-site food handlers classes are available for a fee of $125. Please call our office to set up an appointment.
