A full listing and a REGISTRATION FORM for the 2010 Summer Programs will be posted in April of 2010.
Fish Tales Second Tuesday of every month 10:00 AM - FREE No registration needed Join the WATER Center staff for story time and a nature surprise! This program is designed for Pre-K aged children, but all are welcome to attend.

Water Wonder Family Programs |
New for 2009, the “Water Wonder” Family Programs are designed specifically for family groups who want to learn more about water-related topics. What is a water-related topic? Almost anything! Come discover why what is so unique and amazing, what creatures survive in soggy habitats, water conservation techniques, local water history, and more!
The “Water Wonder Family Programs” are free, but space is limited and pre -registration is required. Children who attend must be accompanied by an adult.

WORLD WATER MONITORING DAY FREE October 19th, 10 AM—11:30 AM Pre-registration Required You and your family will join in the World Water Monitoring Day international water quality event. Prepare to be outside for a portion of this activity. More information about World Water Monitoring Day can be found at: www.worldwatermonitoringday.org
Filter It FREE December 29th, 10 AM—11:30 AM Pre-registration Required Learn why the WATER Center exists and take a tour of the treatment plant. Then, have a little fun, by making some really messy water and building a filter to clean it back up again.

Youth Volunteer Days are for children ages 8-15 years old and space is limited. Pre-registration is required. Call (316) 337-9262 or email lalbers@wichita.gov.

| Opportunities for High School Students (9th - 12th Grade) |
The Hutton Junior Fisheries Biology Program Applications are due February 15, 2010! Eight weeks of hands-on water and fisheries opportunities right here in Wichita! The student selected receives a $3,000 scholarship. For more information, visit the Hutton Junior Fisheries Biology Program web site.
U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize This is the most prestigious youth award for a high school water science research project. HRH Crown Princess Victoria is the patron of the prize. In a royal ceremony, during World Water Week, the international winner receives $5,000 USD and a blue crystal sculpture. For more information, visit the U.S. Stockholm Junior Water Prize web site.
