To help the City Manage for Results through research, analysis, problem-solving, performance management, and the development and administration of the annual budget.

Goals

1. Supervise the development and administration of the annual budget

   • Advise the Director of Finance and the City Manager on budget and associated matters

   • Prepare the budget, which includes responsibility for developing all preliminary information for both the governing body and City staff

   • Instruct all departments and divisions as to the necessary and appropriate budgetary procedures

   • Consider and review all budget proposals

   • Implement all revisions directed by the governing body

   • Publish the adopted budget document

2. Administrate the operating and CIP documents

   • Review personnel requisitions

   • Review capital outlay requests

   • Review budget adjustments

   • Review financial and performance studies for conformance to City policies

3. Respond to special research requests as needed
