Located in the Matlock Heights neighborhood, Station Ten is the headquarters of the Department's Hazardous Materials Response Team. Housed at this firehouse is one engine company, one squad, and the City's Hazardous Materials Response Vehicle and Hazardous Materials Response Team. Relocated in 2005, it currently has 15 personnel assigned over three shifts.

On May 18, 2004 the City Council moved to name this station the "Charles Shoots" station after the first African-American hired by the Wichita Fire Department.
