For-profit housing developments completed in the past with HOME subsidies include Innes Station and South Beach apartment complexes in the Old Town area.

Projects in progress utilizing HOME subsidies include Market Street Residences, an apartment community for disabled citizens, as well as the renovation of the historic Eaton properties.

Subsidies to non-profit Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO's) and for-profit developers encourage rehabilitation or new construction of affordable rental or owner-occupied housing.

City of Wichita recognized CHDO's developing single family homes include Mennonite Housing, Wichita Community Housing Services, and Power CDC.

The City of Wichita has utilized HOME funds to subsidize the development of affordable rental housing within several apartment communities. The developments include apartments that are designated to be affordable. Non-profit housing developments subsidized with HOME funds include:
