The Housing and Community Services Department contributes to these goals in a number of ways. For instance, we recently received a grant renewal award from HUD which increased our funds for the Family Self-Sufficiency program. This program helps Section 8 participants reach goals to help them become self-sufficient, and able to maintain affordable living as well as improve their quality of life.
