The Honorable Judge William Kehr

Judge William M. Kehr holds an undergraduate degree in both accounting and finance from Kansas State University where he graduated in 1982. He then attended Washburn University School of Law receiving his Jurist Doctorate in 1985. He graduated with honors from both universities.

Judge Kehr commenced his legal career with the firm of Martin, Churchill, Overman, Hill and Cole in Wichita Kansas handling chiefly labor and employment issues for companies. In 1989 he joined Don McFerson in Derby Kansas and created the firm of McFerson and Kehr, later known as McFerson, Kehr and Sevart. Judge Kehr was appointed to the municipal court bench first in Mulvane Kansas in 2000 and later by Derby Kansas in 2004. Judge Kehr has been a successful private practice attorney for over 24 years prior to accepting a position on the Wichita Municipal Court Bench in 2009. Over his career he has spoken several times to attorneys and citizen groups regarding legal issues.
