Citations and Payment Information

Tickets or citations filed in Municipal Court may be issued by Wichita PoliceEnvironmental Services, FireCentral Inspection, or Public Works.

Ticket fines must be paid within 10 days of the date of issuance. Failure to pay a citation will result in additional costs, possible suspension of your driving privileges, and a warrant being issued for your arrest.

If paying in person, please go to City Hall, located at 455 N. Main.

Pay Tickets by Depositing in Drop Boxes

Payments may also be deposited in drop boxes within City Hall and all Wichita-area Dillons stores. Do not mail cash or place cash in the drop boxes!

Methods of Payment

For your convenience Visa and MasterCard are also accepted in person or by telephone (316) 268-4611. Please make checks payable to "Municipal Court Clerk". There will be a $30.00 charge on all returned checks.

Payment Processing

The Court will attempt to process payments within 3 days, excluding weekends and holidays. You should take this time frame into consideration when submitting your payment. It is your responsibility to insure that your payment is made in a timely manner.

If your driver's license is scheduled to be suspended within the 3 days required for processing or the citation is scheduled to be warranted, it is advised that you make payment in person at City Hall, 455 N. Main, as the suspension, warrant, and/or late fees will not be avoided if payment is made on-line. Likewise if you are paying on a scheduled court case for which you are to appear in court within the 3-day processing time period, it is also advised that you make payment in person to avoid a bench warrant.
