MISSION STATEMENT
“To Establish a Standardization of Quality for Continuing Education Courses Statewide While Maintaining Ease of Accessibility Throughout the State.”
The Mechanical Board provides technical code review and recommendations to the City Council on matters involving the Mechanical Codes; mechanical installations, construction & remodeling; and contractor licensing.
Primary focus/responsibilities of the Mechanical Board include:

reviewing mechanical codes and recommending to City Council proposed code adoptions or code changes;

hearing appeals to Office of Central Inspection interpretations of Mechanical Codes;

reviewing and approving/denying alternate heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration or boiler materials and/or methods of installation;

reviewing and applications for mechanical contractor licenses, and conducting hearings to consider probation, suspension or revocation of such licenses.
