The current mechanical code, with amendments, for Wichita is the 2006 International Mechanical Code.
Any mechanical contractor must be a master, or employee a master. Proof of insurance is required.
The mechanical contractor is limited to two apprentices per journeyman or master on each job site.
The National Electrical Code requires a working space of 30 inches wide, 36 inches in front of and 6 feet 6 inches high on all new circuits and disconnects. See the drawing for changing out an existing A/C unit.
Are there requirements for purchase of refrigeration condensing units?
