In late 2002 and early 2003, the Board of Park Commissioners began exploring the advantages of preserving our natural and economic resources by maximizing use of native plants and minimizing use of pesticides and herbicides in park areas. In February, 2003, the Board adopted a Pesticide Free Use Policy.
