General Information

The initial 19.98 acres for this park were acquired in 1971 with funding by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under the "Parks-in-Cities" program. An additional 105.87 acres were acquired in 1992 with Community Development Block Grant and Capital Improvement Program funds.

Adventure Playground in Grove Park. The beautiful artwork is the product of efforts from about 150 area art students who attended Buckner, Isely and Mueller schools.
