Watson Park is a beautiful 119-acre park with a 40-acre lake for fishing and pedal boats. This park offers a rustic setting for fishing and picnicking. A Kansas Fishing license is required to fish, and concessions and bait are available at the concession facility during spring, summer, and fall. The park is currently operating under Winter Hours. Admission to the park is free, but a fee is charged for participation in some activities and all rides. Picnic shelters, an inside shelter, campfire circle and hayrack rides are available by reservation. The park also offers over 100 picnic tables on a first come/first served basis. Hours of Operation: WINTER HOURS: November 1 through March 168:00 am - 4:00 pm daily - closed on holidaysRides will not operate until spring hours begin. SUMMER HOURS: March 17 through September 308:00 am - 10 pm dailyRides will operate 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm weekdaysRides will operate noon to 8 pm on weekends FALL HOURS: October 1 - 318:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday8:00 am - 10:00 pm Saturday and SundayMiniature golf, train, pony rides and pedal boats will be operated from Noon until dark on weekends only. Here is a small sample of what is being offered this Winter and Spring: Grand Kansas Day1-8pm on Saturday January 28th. Grandparents & Grandkids will honor this special day by creating a craft using Kansas products such as wheat & sunflower seeds, listening to a story about Kansas, creating your own Kansas poem, and learning a square dance.Registration Deadline is Jan. 25, Fee is $13 per Grandparent; Grandkids are free.
