The park has been designated as a Wichita Wild Habitat area. Facilities include a five-mile bridle trail, an eight-mile nature trail and a nature center converted from the former horse stables. Land and Water Conservation Funds, provided by the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks and the National Park Service, have been used to develop this park.
