Acquired in 1917, the Arthur B. Sim Memorial Park is divided into two areas - the Sim Park Municipal Golf Course and a large picnic area. The Old Cowtown Museum also rests on a portion of Sim Park.

Land and Water Conservation Funds, provided by the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks and the National Park Service, have been used to develop this park.
