Wichita Skatepark Rules

1. Hours of operation are Dawn to Dusk - Use after permitted times will be considered trespassing under the City Criminal Code, 5.66.030.

2. Know your abilities and use the facility at your own risk. Exercise common sense and general courtesy to others.

3. This skatepark is not supervised. It is strongly recommended that park users wear protective equipment at all times, which includes: helmets, kneepads, elbow pads, and wrist guards.

4. Adverse weather conditions including snow, ice, and wet surfaces can affect surface conditions. Use extreme caution in such circumstances.

5. The Park and Recreation Department reserves the right to close the facility or ask persons to leave the facility for any circumstances deemed necessary.

6. The City of Wichita is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

7. The skatepark is property owned by the City of Wichita. As such, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and weapons are prohibited and illegal.

8. Do not proceed down a ramp until it is clear of other skaters.

9. No glass containers are allowed.

10. No profanity.

11. No littering.

12. No artwork or graffiti.

13. Do not place or utilize additional obstacles (including, but not limited to ramps or jumps) that are not specifically authorized by the Park and Recreation Department.

14. Report problems or maintenance concerns to the Park and Recreation Department at 337-9225.
