The following is a list of public works of art, statues, fountains, monuments and memorials located in parks, park boulevards and other public areas maintained by the Park and Recreation Department. The department also provides administrative support for the Public Art Advisory Board.

U.S. Marine Corps Veterans Memorial
Dedicated in 1995, this memorial project was sponsored by the Air Capital Detachment of the U.S. Marine Corps League. The memorial is located at Veterans Memorial Park. |

U.S. Merchant Marine Veterans of World War II Memorial
Dedicated in 1996 to Merchant Marine and U.S. Navy Guards, this memorial project was sponsored by the Merchant Marine Veterans. The memorial is located at Veterans Memorial Park. |

U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II Memorial
Dedicated in 1984, this memorial project was sponsored by the U.S. Submarine Veterans of World War II, Kansas Chapter. The memorial is located at Veterans Memorial Park. |

Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Dedicated in 1994, this memorial honors Sedgwick County men killed or missing in Vietnam. The memorial project was sponsored by the Homefront Memorial Committee. The memorial is located at Veterans Memorial Park. |

Wichita Wild Habitat Areas
Certain parks, or portions of parks, with naturally occurring plant and animal life have been designated as Wichita Wild Habitat Areas. The Habitat areas are open to visitors any time the park is open and are marked by special signs. These areas include:

Wind Spirit Gateway Robert Roesch (????-????) 1997, ?
Designed by Robert Roesch and dedicated in January, 1997. The sculpture is located at Kellogg and Main. |

Wood Sculptures Randal Charters (????-????)
Leprechaun Shamus is dedicated to Irish artists. A Dreamers Union is a union of the dreams one has of the moon and the stars. These sculptures are located at Linwood Park. |

Wood Sculptures Gino Salerno (????-????)
Local artist Gino Salerno has created imaginative works of folk art from the stumps of dead trees located in public areas throughout the city. A number of the sculptures can be found in Central Riverside Park. World War II Monument
This monument, presented to the City by the Double "V" Victorettes in 1946, honors black soldiers who served during World War II. The monument is located at McAdams Park in the baseball diamond parking lot. |
