Central and Bristol Community Facilities & Park Master Plan

The purpose of the Central & Bristol Community Facilities and Park Master Plan is to evaluate and schematically design the possible co-location of police/fire facilities and desirable outdoor park elements on 14.4 acres of city-owned property located immediately north of Central and east of Bristol Street. The plan would also identify programmatic and functional space requirements; co-location efficiencies; capital, operational and maintenance cost estimates; funding sources; and, a preferred schematic site layout design/phasing concept. A Steering Committee, comprised of key city department directors, advisory board representatives and neighborhood stakeholders, will provide direction and guidance in developing a final concept plan document for consideration and endorsement by the City Council. The Wichita-Sedgwick County Metropolitan Area Planning Department will facilitate the planning process and provide support to both the Plan Steering Committee and the Staff Support Team.
