How to Report Accidents Online The Wichita Police Department now has an online form which can be used to report all non-injury accidents under $1000 in property damages. There must be no hit and run and/or DUI involved. This online form can be used to report accidents occurring on both public streets or private parking lots within the City of Wichita. |

Accessible Parking Program The Wichita Police Department is seeking volunteers who are interested in working with us to reduce the handicap parking violations within the city limits of Wichita. Click here to learn more about the program and how it functions. |

Crime Stats Updated The Reporting Area database allows you to click on portions of a City of Wichita map, and in turn, it will provide you with crimes stats for those areas. It can be found on the Crime Statistics page. |

High Accident Intersections The latest stats have been posted for intersection and intersection related accidents. These accidents include both State reported accidents and those accidents that are only reported locally. The stats can be viewed on the Most Dangerous Intersections page. |

Anti-Prostitution Campaign The latest move towards community orientated policing has been a combined and concentrated effort between the neighborhoods, businesses and the police department to address the prostitution problem and to continue to increase the quality of life for our citizens. All persons arrested for prostitution and morals related violations will be posted to this new site. These postings can be viewed by clicking HERE. |

Support Law Enforcement Memorial The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #5 proudly offers two car magnet ribbons which state, "Support Law Enforcement Memorial of Sedgwick County Kansas" or "Support Local Law Enforcement," and two limited edition challenge coins depicting the Law Enforcement Memorial.
The cost of the car magnet ribbons are $3.00 each and the challenge coins are $7.00 each or $13.00 a set. All profits will benefit the Law Enforcement Memorial of Sedgwick County.

WPD 44 Beat Survey Completed This 21-page study looks at a variety of issues that affect the quality of life in the area of northeast Wichita. The survey was conducted in partnership with Wichita State University, the Weed and Seed Steering committee, Wichita Independent Neighborhood Association (WIN) Power Community Development Coalition, Power Community Development Corporation , Power Neighborhood Association, the City of Wichita, Family Services Institute, students from USD 259, Northeast Central Neighborhood Association, and members of the Wichita Police Dept. Wichita Salon's of Hope Program Starting in October 2004, a new program was launched by the YWCA Wichita with a goal of reaching victims of domestic violence at the neighborhood level. The program called Salons of Hope is collaboration between the YWCA and the Wichita Police Department that aims to involve salons in the fight against domestic violence.
