My name is Shane Russell and I am the School Resource Officer for South High School located at 701 W 33^rd South in Wichita Kansas.  I have been a WPD Officer for 18 years and have worked various duties throughout my police career.  I have worked as an SRO at Hadley, Hamilton, Mayberry and Truesdell Middle schools in the past and have enjoyed working with young adults.  I am a US Army veteran and a graduate of Kansas State University.  I am married and have two children who attended Wichita schools.  This is my first year at South High and I hope to form a great relationship with students and staff.  I am looking forward to a great new school year and hope that I can assist young adults make the right decisions and show them the right path to a great future.
