After graduation from the Wichita-Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Academy the newly appointed police officers are each assigned to an F.T.O.  The F.T.O. will give on-the-job training to each new officer and help them learn how to become a good police officer.  Each new officer is assigned a F.T.O. on each shift and rotates shifts through the F.T.O. training period.
