The Gang Tattoo Removal Program began in Wichita in 1999. It provides former gang members the opportunity to put their affiliation behind them by having their gang tattoos removed. A gang tattoo creates a stigma and impression that may result in violence and lost opportunities. Our goal is to provide applicants the opportunity for a fresh start to be successful members of our community. A news article from the Wichita Eagle can be seen here.
