Robbery Prevention at Home

Keep all doors and windows locked. If the weather is warm and you normally leave your doors open for ventilation, lock the screen door.

Keep outdoor lighting on at night.

Do not advertise that you live alone.

Keep landscaping trimmed and away from windows and doors to avoid providing a hiding place for the perpetrator.

Do not allow strangers into your home. If they are requesting assistance, advise them you will call the police for them.

Report suspicious activity in you neighborhood to police.

Advertise your security alarm system by placing signs in visible locations.

If you arrive home and your door is open or things appear to be out of place DO NOT GO IN YOUR HOME. Leave and call the police immediately.

Write down license numbers of suspicious vehicles in your neighborhood. |
