As part of our National Night Out 2009 campaign, the Wichita Police Department has

partnered with the Kansas Food Bank to host a National Night Out Food Drive. Wichita

has been hit hard this year with layoffs. More citizens have accessed the Kansas Food

Bank to help feed their families, and the demand on the Kansas Food Bank is expected

to increase. The food drive is designed to actively engage citizens to be a part of a

project that would put food into the bellies of hungry Wichitans. Encourage your block

party to gather non-perishable food items to donate to the Kansas Food Bank.

Donations may be dropped off at any Dillons Store, or any of the Wichita Police

substations, including City Hall, during NNO week (August 3-8).
