Identifying City of Wichita Water Utilities Employees
The Wichita Water Utilities' central focus is customer care. Our customers, who are also our owners, are important to us. In order to be as responsive to our customers as possible, circumstances may occur that warrant a City of Wichita Water Utilities' employee’s entry into a customer’s home. Most often, such contact occurs as a direct result of a customer’s request. A City of Wichita Water Utilities employee will enter a customer’s home ONLY at a customer’s request. Other water and sewer tasks that might be observed by our customers include meter reading, meter box adjustments, yard restorations, meter repair, and service replacements. However, these tasks do not require a Water & Sewer employee to enter a customer’s home. How to recognize City of Wichita Water Utilities employees Our field employees wear City of Wichita work uniforms and carry an official City of Wichita identification badge. Blue City utility trucks and equipment also are marked with the City of Wichita logo and identification. (See photographs below) Customers should feel free to contact the Wichita Water Utilities to verify the identity of any person claiming to be a Water & Sewer employee or if they should have any questions.
