Note on City Council meetings during COVID-19
Citizen feedback is important to the City of Wichita, and we are working hard to continue engaging and listening to residents. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, residents and media are unable to attend Wichita City Council meetings in person. To be as transparent as possible, the City is providing multiple alternative ways to engage. All meetings will be broadcast live on Cox cable channel 7, Wichita.gov and the City’s YouTube channel. The agenda is available at Wichita.gov.
Residents with a question or comment relevant to agenda items may type them into the chat on the YouTube live stream. They may also participate by emailing comments or questions to firstname.lastname@example.org, providing their name, address and which agenda item they are speaking toward, followed by their comments, or, if they would like to speak to the council directly, their phone number. The City Clerk will read emailed comments during the meeting and City staff will call those who provide a phone number when the appropriate agenda item is presented.
To ensure comments are included, all emails must be submitted by 5 p.m. Monday, April 6.
