to provide a policy framework that will guide future public investments.
The Wichita Bicycle Master Plan will be a guide for the City of Wichita, identifying the
community needs, vision, and future goals related to bicycling in the City.

The cities of Derby, Haysville, Mulvane and Wichita agreed to work in partnership with Sedgwick County to develop a
joint area plan to address certain land use planning issues of mutual interest and concern.
On October 13, 2009, the City Council approved a contract with Goody Clancy to develop a downtown master plan.
The plan took approximately 12 months to complete. The end result is Project Downtown-The Master Plan for Wichita that
was adopted as an element of the Wichita-Sedgwick County Comprehensive Plan.
