Garvey Park Dedication

Councilman Skelton dedicated the new Garvey Park, 3501 S. Washington, in June 2006. More than 60 citizens attended the ceremony. Citizens can enjoy the park and access the river by canoe or kayak and take a leisurely float downstream. Garvey sits on the Big Arkansas River, and is a 100% ADA-compliant launch facility, with a parking lot of suitable size. The park is complimented by a large community garden next door.
