The Fountains at WaterWalk are set to begin another season of entertaining visitors downtown. Starting this Saturday, May 9, four shows will take place at noon, 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday-Sunday. Each 10- to 15-minute show will incorporate music, lights and water in a choreographed display to different genres of music, including country, classic rock, classical and ’80s rock. The fountains are located at 605 S. Wichita Street, east of Gander Mountain.
The Fountains at WaterWalk were installed in October 2012 to support aesthetics and quality of life in the core area and encourage economic development near the riverfront. They are 150-feet long and have more than 1,200 custom designed and patented nozzles. The regular fountain season runs May through October. The fountains do not operate when winds exceed 15 mph.
