The Housing and Community Services Department is funded with federal and state funds to provide housing and related services to benefit the citizens and neighborhoods of Wichita. The department uses these funds to provide direct services and to contract with community service providers.
All services are provided to persons who meet 2015 income qualifications and are otherwise eligible for assistance.

NEW! Housing Expo 2016
The Wichita Housing Authority, Housing and Community Services Department and its collaborating sponsor, Capitol Federal, announce the 2016 Housing Expo, "Making Dreams a Reality." The event will be on Saturday, June 18, 2016, from 10a-3p. Approximately 50 vendors are expected to share housing related information to attendees. If you are seeking rental or homeownership information, there will be something for everyone! It is FREE to attend.
NEW! Comprehensive Housing Policy
Staff in the Housing and Community Services Department completed a Comprehensive Housing Policy to help shape and guide future decisions which may impact on the quality of life with respect to housing. The policy references housing affordability and availability, as well as neighborhood stability and resources needed to implement strategies which are recommended.
