Acquired in 1917, the Arthur B. Sim Memorial Park is divided into two areas - the Sim Park Municipal Golf Course and a large picnic area.
The Old Cowtown Museum and Botanica also rest on a portion of Sim Park.
At 6,330 yards, the par 71 course offers a somewhat simple layout, although the tree-lined fairways do lead to well bunkered greens.
Sim is the City's busiest course, generating nearly 40,000 rounds annually.

The picnic area consists of 32 picnic tables, 9 charcoal grills, and 5 drinking fountains.
This concrete horseshoe-shaped table seats 75 people.
Oil man and only son of Wichita real estate businessman, Coler L. Sim.
After Arthur's death, his father donated 157 acres to the City and asked that the land be used as a park and golf course in Arthur's memory.
