Metropolitan Area Planning Commission
The MAPC is composed of fourteen volunteer members, with an equal appointment distribution between the Wichita City Council and Board of Sedgwick County Commission. They hold public hearings and make recommendations to the governing bodies concerning zoning, subdivision applications, and other development related issues; are responsible for developing and maintaining the Comprehensive Plan for Wichita and Sedgwick County. Meeting Calendar Regular meetings of the MAPC are generally scheduled for every other Thursday, beginning at 1:30 PM in the Planning Department Conference Room on the 10th floor of City Hall, 455 N. Main St., Wichita, Kansas.
