Norah Jones Coming to Century II

Tickets go on sale Friday

Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Norah Jones is coming to Century II as part of a nationwide tour. She will be performing at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17 in the Concert Hall. Tickets are $60 and $50, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30. Tickets may be purchased online at, in person at Century II’s WichitaTIX box office or by phone at (316) 219-4849. Century II is located at 225 W. Douglas in Wichita, Kan.

Jones began her career in 2002 with the album “Come Away with Me,” which received eight Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist. Her fourth album, “The Fall,” was released in November 2009. Jones has sold more than 17 million albums in the United States and more than 37 million records worldwide. Altogether, she has sold more albums than any other female jazz artist during the 2000s.

Jones is the last scheduled performer before Concert Hall closes for eight weeks for $1.2 million in renovations that include new seating, paint, carpet, curtains and dimmer racks. The Wichita Symphony Orchestra is the first scheduled performance after the renovations are complete.
