Old Cowtown Museum Event This Weekend
Only at Old Cowtown Museum could wine tasting and stagecoach rides make such a perfect combination. The Museum is hosting its second annual Wine Mosey from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12 at Old Cowtown Museum,1865 W. Museum Blvd. Tickets are $35 per person and may be purchased at Cowtown, by phone (316) 350-3311 or at WichitaTIX.com.
Four wine stations will be located in the Fritz Snitzler’s Saloon, Drugstore, First Arkansas Valley Bank and General Store buildings. The dinner menu features pulled pork brisket, Brookville cole slaw (from the Brookville Hotel restaurant in Abilene, KS) and cowboy beans. The meal will be served outdoors where visitors may enjoy the live entertainment. There will be gunfight re-enactments, stagecoach rides, a show by the Dixie Lee Saloon Girls, a blacksmith demonstration and outdoor antique bowling – complete with a wooden bowling ball.
The evening will also include a live auction offering the chance to bid on dinners, a weekend excursion at a working Kansas ranch and the opportunity for up to six people to use local law enforcement’s shooting range simulator.
