A “meet and greet” reception with Dr. Mildred Edwards, executive director of the Kansas African American Affairs Commission (KAAAC) will be hosted by the Wichita Art Museum at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, in the Museum’s Great Hall, 1400 W. Museum Blvd.
The KAAAC serves as the Kansas Governor’s liaison to African American communities throughout the state. Through a legislative change in 2004, the KAAAC was transferred from the Kansas Department of Human Resources to the Office of the Governor.
