Informational workshops to be held for interested organizations
The 2012 City of Wichita Cultural Funding Grant Application is now available online at Wichita.gov and WichitaArts.com. Grant applications may also be picked up at the Division of Arts and Cultural Services’ administrative office, located within Century II at 225 W. Douglas. This is the seventh year that nonprofits arts and cultural services organizations in Wichita have been invited to apply for funds set aside by the Wichita City Council to assist with their operations.
Informational workshops that explain the application process will be held from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, and 10-11a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15. These workshops will take place at CityArts, Room 204, 334 N. Mead, Wichita, Kan.
The City provides operational support grants to all arts and cultural organizations that are 501(C) (3) nonprofit in the City of Wichita. A step-by-step list of instructions is included to make the process simple and consistent for all applicants. Last year the city awarded 21 organizations operational support grants that totaled more than $3 million.
For more information or to request a copy of the application, please contact Bernadette Bradshaw at Century II at (316) 303-8663.
