New system to provide 24/7 information to customers
City of Wichita Municipal Court customers will be able to access the new Interactive Voice Response (IVR) phone system starting Monday. It’s designed to improve customer service, reduce call wait times and increase operational efficiency within Municipal Court. Customers can use the phone system 24/7.
IVR allows Court customers to retrieve court date and case status information. Additionally, it provides general court information including answers to frequently asked questions and allows customers to make payment on adjudicated cases and citations. Attorneys are also able to enter their appearance on cases and request a continuance when appropriate.

“We believe IVR is another step towards achieving our goal of providing excellent customer service to those doing business with the Court.” Donte Martin, Court Administrator said.
Approximately 120,000 citations and criminal complaints are filed with Municipal Court each year. Each citation and court case results in numerous calls to the Court.
