“Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots” is Perry’s newest stage play, and it features brand new music from the popular actor, producer and screenwriter. Perry is best known for his portrayals of Madea, a character he created that was partially based on his own mother.
This play stars Palmer Williams Jr. and a supporting cast of powerhouse singers and comedians. Williams has appeared in many of Perry’s productions, including his TV show “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” and the stage version of “Madea’s Big Happy Family.”
“Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots” follows the life of a wealthy family who is often preoccupied with superficial things. When its poverty stricken maid is forced to ask for help, the family gets a chance to see how the other half lives.
The show’s stop in Wichita is part of a national tour that will continue throughout the fall.
