Library's Spring Events For Teens Announced

Crafts, Cupcakes, and Competition Highlight Offerings

All events are free. Accommodations for those with special needs are available. Please request at (316) 261-8500 a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the event. Seating is limited. Central Library can accommodate larger groups; call 261-8512. Thanks to the City of Wichita, Wichita Public Library Foundation, National Endowment for the Humanities and Friends of the Wichita Public Library for making many of these events possible.

Crazy Cupcake Decorating
Teens aged 12-17 will learn crazy and contemporary cupcake designs. The best part? They get to eat their creations! Registration is required and begins Wednesday, Jan. 11; call the Central Library at 261-8512 to register. (60 minutes)

Ductagami
Think duct tape is only for home repairs? Think again! In this interactive session, teens aged 11-17 make amazing usable accessories with plain duct tape. No art talent required! Registration is required and begins Wednesday, Feb. 22; call the Rockwell Branch Library at 688-9361 to register. (30 minutes)

“Hunger Games” Book Party

Beat the Clock
Are you a fast or strategic thinker? Do you have what it takes to tackle unique challenges? Join us for some fun, and many laughs, as teams of teens ages 12-17 compete in various challenges to see if they can “beat the clock.” Registration is required and begins Wednesday, March 7; call the Alford Branch Library at 337-9119 to register. (90 minutes)
