Limited Services Available During System Outage

Municipal Court will begin improving its case management system on Tuesday, a technology upgrade that will improve customer service and create other efficiencies, City of Wichita officials announced today.

“Upgrading the Court’s case management system will enhance our ability to efficiently adjudicate cases and provide quality customer service” said Donte Martin, Municipal Court Administrator.

Court offices will remain open but limited services and case related information will be available during the system outage, expected to last several days. The Court Clerk’s Office will accept in-person payments at its customer service windows located on the second floor of City Hall, 455 N. Main. Customers will be unable to use the Court’s automated phone and web payment systems to seek case information, make payments, or request extensions during the outage.

Municipal Court assists nearly 2,500 customers each day. Municipal Court Judges adjudicate more than 35,000 misdemeanor cases annually. More than 120,000 violations of the City Code are filed with the Court each year.
