Entry deadline nearing for annual CityArts show
Local and regional artists have until Monday, July 2 to submit entries for the Arts Council Juried Art Exhibit that is held annually at CityArts. All two- and three-dimensional pieces in any media are eligible for consideration. Entry forms should be accompanied by up to three digital images on a CD and a $30 nonrefundable entry fee (cash, checks, credit cards accepted). Entry forms and guidelines are available at CityArts, 334 N. Mead, or online at WichitaArts.com.
The show is open to artists ages 18 and older, and all work must be original. Last year, the juried show was one of CityArts’ most viewed exhibits. This year’s exhibition will be on display in CityArts’ Main Gallery July 25-Aug. 25. Kansas photographer Gerald Hill is this year’s juror.
All CityArts exhibits are free and open to the public.
The Arts Council, a local nonprofit organization, partners with the City of Wichita to promote the arts in the Wichita community. The Juried Art Show is a way to encourage and support regional artists as well as expose the general public to the creativity and imagination that is present in the Wichita area.
