Free Indian Center event includes family activities, Indian tacos

The Mid-America All-Indian Center will host a Benefit Car Show from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16. An impressive collection of vintage cars and motorcycles will be displayed on the back grounds of the Indian Center in the shadow of the Keeper of the Plains. (See below for how to participate as an exhibitor.) It is free and open to the public. The Indian Center is located at 650 N. Seneca.

During the show, visitors are encouraged to speak with car enthusiasts from the Indian Center and throughout the community who have a passion for preserving automotive history. As added bonuses, there will be a children’s hands-on activity area, special $1 Indian Center Museum admission and Indian tacos for sale. Awards will be presented at 3:30 p.m.

Individuals may register their cars and/or motorcycles in advance or at the gate. The fee is $25 for cars and $15 for motorcycles. Registration forms are available online at www.theindiancenter.org under the “Special Events” tab or by calling (316) 350-3340. All proceeds from entry fees will be used to expand the Indian Center’s Museum and exhibits.
