The City of Wichita maintains more than 60 miles of bicycle paths, lanes and other bicycle facilities. Many of the paths travel through and along scenic areas, such as the Arkansas River. You can access maps of the Wichita bicycle facilities and facility definitions at the links below.
Types of Bicycle Facilities
The Greater Wichita Bike Map shows the location of bicycle paths, lanes, and bike friendly streets throughout the Wichita area. The map was produced by the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (WAMPO), and published with assistance from the Sedgwick County Health Department. Printed copies of the map are available at City Hall, neighborhood city halls, libraries, bicycle shops, and many other locations.
(Please note: the Redbud Path - the shared use path located along the former railroad corridor south of 17th Street, east of I-135, north of Central, and west of Hillside is not fully constructed and cables block access from multiple streets.)
