Burn permits are obtained from the Wichita Fire Department offices which are located on the 11th floor of the City Building at 455 N. Main. Burn permits are free of charge, however, there are strict regulations on burning in the city limits, and procedures to be carried out when using a burn permit. Yes. Started in 1984, the REACH program (Respond Early And Control Hypertension) is a joint program between the Wichita Fire Department, the Sedgwick County Fire Department, and the Wichita Heart Association and has received national acclaim.
